Privacy and video processing
Updated October 16, 2026.
Links you submit
When you select Get video, your TikTok URL is sent to the TikSavo server and our download backend. The backend uses yt-dlp to request a publicly available video file from the source. The connection is carried through Cloudflare. Do not put private or confidential information into a submitted URL.
Temporary files
Prepared MP4 files are temporarily stored on the download backend, currently a test server running on a Mac. The cache is configured to expire after 30 minutes, with periodic cleanup. Closing the backend also removes its temporary cache. TikSavo does not maintain a permanent library of submitted videos. A file you save to your own device stays there until you remove it.
Language preference
Choosing a language stores a first-party cookie named clipdrop-language for up to one year. This technical name remains from an earlier version of the site. The cookie remembers your language choice and is not an advertising cookie. You can remove it through your browser settings.
Technical information
Hosting and network services may process IP addresses, request URLs, timestamps and diagnostic logs to deliver the site and investigate failures. The application also limits excessive requests. Temporary media links can appear in request logs; do not share those links if you do not want others to access the file while it remains available.
Other services
TikTok and its media servers process requests for the source video. Cloudflare processes traffic to the website and the download backend. Their own privacy policies govern their processing. TikSavo does not ask you for a TikTok password or sign in to your TikTok account.
Your choices
You can read the guides without submitting a video link. You can clear the language cookie or close the page at any time. Download only your own content or content you have permission to save. TikSavo is independent of TikTok and ByteDance.
