TikTok download not working?
A failed download does not always mean the video is private. Start with the original post, then check the link and download service.
1. Open the original video
Try the link in TikTok. If the post has been deleted, made private, or restricted in your region, the downloader may not be able to retrieve it. TikSavo cannot unlock private accounts or restore deleted videos.
2. Copy a fresh video link
Use Share → Copy link on the individual post. Avoid profile links, search pages, and photo slideshows. Paste only the URL into the downloader, without the surrounding message from a sharing app.
3. Check the error message
A busy service or an exhausted usage allowance can prevent a valid public video from downloading. Wait before trying again. Repeatedly pressing Get video is unlikely to help and can trigger a request limit.
4. Refresh an expired download
The prepared MP4 links are temporary. If you return to an old result and the Download MP4 button fails, prepare the video again from its original TikTok URL. Do not bookmark the temporary file URL as a permanent backup.
5. Look for the saved file
If the browser reports a completed download, check its Downloads list. On iPhone, check the Files app as well as Photos. On Android, open Downloads in your file manager. On Mac and Windows, check the Downloads folder or the location chosen in your browser settings.
6. If the video opens in another tab
Some browsers play MP4 files directly. Look for a download control in the player, or use the browser’s save or share menu. For device-specific steps, see how to download TikTok videos on your phone or computer.
What the downloader cannot fix
Original video quality, missing audio, source availability, and creator permissions are outside the downloader’s control. A higher requested quality does not add detail that is missing from the original upload.
