How to download TikTok videos

Save a public video as an MP4, then find it on your device. Start with a video you own or have permission to download.

First, copy the right link

  1. Open the individual video in TikTok.
  2. Choose Share, then Copy link. On desktop, you can also copy the address of the video page.
  3. Return to TikSavo, paste the URL, and select Get video.
  4. Check the preview, then select Download MP4.

A profile URL points to an account, not a video. If a copied link fails, open the post again and copy a fresh link from its Share menu.

Save a TikTok video on iPhone or iPad

Use your browser to open TikSavo and complete the steps above. If a download prompt appears, confirm it. Look for the file in the Files app, usually in Downloads under iCloud Drive or On My iPhone, depending on your browser settings.

If the MP4 opens in a video player, open the Share menu and look for Save Video or Save to Files. Menu labels vary by browser and iOS version. A video saved to Files will not necessarily appear automatically in Photos.

Save a video on Android

Paste the video link into the downloader in your browser. When the MP4 is ready, confirm the download if prompted. Open your browser’s Downloads list or your phone’s Files app to locate it. Some gallery apps take a moment to display a newly downloaded file.

Download on Windows or Mac

Open the downloader in your browser, paste the TikTok link, and save the MP4. Check the Downloads folder or the browser’s download history. If the browser opens a player instead, use its download control or Save video as option where available.

Before sharing the saved file

Being able to download a public video does not mean you can reuse its footage, music, or branding. Get the creator’s permission before republishing content you do not own. Keep the original TikTok link so you can credit and revisit its source.
